First Annual Poetry Contest: The Vivienne Haigh-Wood Prize

Melusine announces its first annual poetry contest. The prize is named after T.S. Eliot's notorious first wife, Vivienne Haigh-Wood. The deadline is February 20, 2010.

Submit up to three previously unpublished poems for a $10 reading fee. Submissions and payment are accepted online only.

The winner will receive $500 and their poem will be featured in the Spring 2010 issue. The runner-up and eight other finalists will be published in the same issue. All non-finalist entries will be considered for publication in the Winter or Spring 2010 issues and all entrants will be notified by e-mail on the status of their entries. Since up to three poems are permitted per entry, non-winning second or third poems by the winner or finalists will also be considered for publication.

Entries will be judged by the Melusine editors.
